General Liability / Spectator Liability
Often referred to as CGL, Commercial General Liability or Spectator Liability this policy provides broad protection for situations in which a business (i.e. your special event) must defend itself against lawsuits or pay damages for personal injury or property damage to third parties. This policy also gives protection to the venue and or sponsors of the event by adding them to the policy as an additional insured. Examples such as a slip and fall or damaged floors are covered by such a policy. Host liquor liability is included if there is no transfer of money for alcohol. Exclusions do apply
Third Party Property Damage Liability
Pays for damage or destruction of property belonging to others (including loss of use of the property) while the property is in the care, custody or control of the insured.
Contractual Liability
A legal obligation voluntarily assumed under the terms of a contract, as distinguished from liability imposed by the law (legal liability).
Automobile Liability
Automobile liability covers the insured for damages resulting from the ownership, maintenance, or use of a covered auto. It covers the insured for its legal liability for damages,
Non Owned & Hired Auto Coverage This coverage is used to protect against claims arising out of the use of vehicles leased, hired, rented or borrowed by you, or your employees, while in
the course of business.
Host Liquor Liability
This coverage is included in the general liability policy if the insured is not in the “business” of manufacturing, selling, distributing, serving or furnishing alcohol. Purchase Liquor liability
coverage if any money is being charged or an admission is being charged with the serving of alcohol included.
Liquor Liability:
This type of liability insurance provides coverage for bodily injury or property damage for which you may be held liable by reason of: Causing or contributing to the intoxication of any person; Furnishing alcoholic beverages to a person under legal drinking age or under the influence of alcohol; or Violating any statute, ordinance, or regulation relating to the sale, gift, distribution, or use of alcoholic beverages. This coverage only applies if you are involved in the following activities: Manufacturing, selling, or distributing alcoholic beverages; Serving or furnishing alcoholic beverages for a charge, whether or not such activity requires a license or is for the purpose of financial gain or livelihood; or Serving or furnishing alcoholic beverages without a charge, if a license is required for such activity. This coverage should be purchased if you are charging for alcohol.
Workers Compensation
This coverage is required by state law. This type of policy provides coverage for medical, disability or death benefits to "employee" who becomes ill or who is injured in the course of his/her employment. Individuals who consider themselves "independent contractors" or "sub-contractors" will usually be held to be employees (as far as Worker's Compensation is concerned), and failure to carry this insurance can result in having to pay any benefits required under the law.
Medical Payments
Protection to pay the cost of medical care to an injured party regardless of whether the policyholder is liable. Written in conjunction with general and personal liability policies.
